That which is Within, Around, Above and Beyond.
This morning as I stood facing East, the soft glow of the Sun creeping through the sky piercing my eyelids though they were closed, I offered water and flowers to Shri Ganesh, thanking Him for bringing me this far. In the past I always envisioned His image in the sky above me, creating a mental scenery to accompany my offerings. This morning however, I chose instead to feel. I took a few deep breaths and as I started to chant Om Gam Ganapataye Namah, I just allowed myself to be and it was such an amazing feeling. The air around me felt alive and I felt as if I was swaddled in warmth and joy.
Everyday I’m amazed at the new experiences I’m given the opportunity to enjoy and even old ones that I’m beginning to appreciate with new eyes. It makes the smile on my face that much more real.
